     MUNCHIN’ MIX BROWN RICE

 

 

 

 

3      Tbsp sesame oil

2      Cups brown rice

1      Cup wild rice

4      oz JONATHAN’S MUNCHIN’ MIX

6      Cups cold water

3      tsp salt

        Garlic Gomasio to taste

 

Put a heavy 3 quart stainless steel pot on the stove on high. Immediately pour sesame oil into pot. As soon as the oil is hot, pour in the three cups of rice and 4oz of Munchin’ Mix. As soon as you can smell the sesame oil beginning to toast, pour in the cold water and add the salt. Bring to a boil, turn heat to lowest position, cover pot and cook for 1 hour.

 

Serve the rice along with the shaker of Garlic Gomasio; allowing each guest to season his or her own rice. The combination of sprouted beans and brown rice give you a very nourishing vegetarian meal, only lacking a salad or cooked vegetable. The sesame seeds in the Gomasio are delicious and also contribute amino acids to the completion of the protein complex.

 

This recipe makes a very simple vegan feast for six people.
